Univer Prémium apricot marmalade with 60% fruit

Univer Prémium apricot marmalade is made with Hungarian fruit. Every 100 g of finished product is prepared using 60 g of apricots, giving the marmalade its distinctly fruity apricot character.

The product is heat-treated for preservation and, according to the manufacturer, contains no preservatives. Its ingredients include apricots, sugar, pectin and concentrated lemon juice. The marmalade comes in a 300 g glass jar.

How to use apricot marmalade

Serve apricot marmalade with bread, rolls, toast and croissants. It makes a flavorful filling for pancakes, waffles and fritters and can be used as a fruit layer in cakes, rolled cakes, cookies and other baked goods.

It can also be added to oatmeal, plain yogurt, pudding, ice cream and desserts. Its apricot flavor pairs well with cheese and sweet snacks.

Recipe from the label: coconut cake with apricot marmalade

Ingredients

For the pastry base:

• 200 g cold baking margarine,
• 300 g all-purpose flour,
• 2 egg yolks,
• grated lemon zest,
• 100 g powdered sugar.

For the apricot layer:

• 250 g apricot marmalade,
• 50 g raisins.

For the coconut topping:

• 10 egg whites,
• 300 g granulated sugar,
• 100 g shredded coconut,
• 50 g all-purpose flour.

Directions

1. Rub the cold margarine into 300 g of flour. Add the egg yolks, grated lemon zest and powdered sugar, then knead until a uniform dough forms.
2. Press the dough into a greased baking pan measuring approximately 35 × 20 cm. Prick it with a fork and pre-bake in a moderately heated oven for approximately 12 minutes. Allow the base to cool.
3. Heat the apricot marmalade while stirring. Spread it over the cooled pastry base and sprinkle with raisins.
4. Do not whip the egg whites. Place them in a saucepan with the granulated sugar and shredded coconut. Heat while stirring continuously until the mixture begins to boil.
5. Add 50 g of flour and mix thoroughly. Spread the coconut mixture over the marmalade layer.
6. Bake for approximately 20 more minutes.
